Nokia, Nokia World kapsamında hem E7, C7 v eC6 gibi yeni cep telefonlarını sergiledi hem de Nokia cep telefonları ve Symbian 3 ile neler yapılabileceğini gösteren şovlar gerçekleştirdi.
Şov kapsamında ziyaretçilere tanıtılan Nokia Plug and Touch, HDMI üzerinden herhangi bir televizyona bağlanan Nokia N8 cep telefonunun, 12MP çözünürlükteki kamerasıyla kullanıcının hareketlerini izleyerek ekran üzerindeki dokunuşlara tepki vermesini sağlıyor.
Sistem sayesinde HDMI girişi bulunan LCD televizyonlardan projeksiyonlara bütün görüntüleme cihazlarını dokunmatik hale getirebiliyorsunuz. Tabi henüz geliştirme aşamasında olduğu için evde deneme şansımız yok. Nokia, sistemin tepki süresinin geliştirilmesi için yazılım üzerinde çalışmaya devam ediyor.
Nokia N8 demo of Plug and Touch - transform any screen into a touchscreen.Currently, only two gestures are recognized: click and vertical scrolling. This research project is important because they're trying to figure out how to take the touchscreen experience away from the touchscreen. As they see more development in augment reality and even 3D UI, they are studying how to leverage the sensor from the camera to track gestures so we can interact with the content. Imagine interacting with 3D UI in the air like in the Iron Man movie!
Plug and Touch is a research prototype to help them create new products for future gesture-based experiences.
